Beichuan People’s Hospital is the highest building in Beichuan new county with building area of 24000 square meters and general height of 43.05 meters. Project of Ward building is A grade high-raise frame—shear wall structure with one storey underground and nine storeys on the ground. Patient building is multi frame structure with three storeys on the ground. The safety rank of the building is second grade, category for fortification against earthquake is the “key fortification one”. Tenure of use of structure design is 50 years, the seismic resistance grade of shear wall is first grade, seismic resistance grade of frame is second grade. The seismic resistance intensity is 8.
